Port Hardy council is hoping its latest move brings attention to an important local organization, the Port Hardy Rangers.
At the last council meeting, council approved a request from the Rangers to land their helicopters in Tsulquate Park.
Councillor Pat Corbett-Labatt says the location of the park could be an important recruitment tool for the Rangers.

“One of the things that we need more of are more Rangers and this will make it a very visible location and hopefully people will ask questions and will want to get involved with the Rangers.”
Corbett-Labatt says the area is clear, open and spacious, features the Rangers highly value.
