Northern Sea Wolf coming to Port Hardy for public viewing before starting service

PORT HARDY, BC – BC Ferries’ newest addition will be sailing to Central Coast terminals for people to see the vessel.

From May 5th to 9th, the Northern Sea Wolf will travel along its Central Coast Connector service route before officially starting sailings later this month.

According to a release from BC Ferries, the Northern Sea Wolf will also be serving the new Port Hardy-Bella Coola summer route starting on June 3rd.

The vessel will be in Port Hardy on Thursday May 9th. Members of the public can see the vessel and come on board from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Before then, the Northern Sea Wolf will make the following stops:

  • Sunday May 5th: Bella Coola – 10:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Sunday May 5th: Ocean Falls – 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Monday May 6th: Shearwater – 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday May 7th: Bella Bella – 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

While docked at each terminal, BC Ferries said that crews will be testing the vessel’s fit with dock structures.

BC Ferries is also planning formal welcome ceremonies and open houses for June 2nd in Bella Coola and June 3rd in Port Hardy.

BC Ferries will release more details closer to these dates.
