The Director of Vancouver Island University’s Centre for Pre-Confederation Treaties and Reconciliation says the release of the TRC’s final report yesterday was a defining moment in Canada.
Doug White says it’s time for Canada to finally grapple with the calls to action put forward by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
White says he’s confident the Prime Minister will follow through on those promises.
The stories, testimony and information gathered by the TRC will be housed at the new National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation in Winnipeg.
