The Nanwakolas Council Society is conducting a labour market study.
The council society is made up of seven First Nations on Northern Vancouver Island and the South Central Coast.
Regional Economic Development Officer Chris Roberts says the study will involve a variety of stakeholders.
Roberts says the final report, complete with an action plan, is set to be ready by June of 2016.
