An air quality advisory has been issued for the Comox Valley.
Air Quality Meterologist Earle Plain says a surface inversion has trapped smoke near the surface.
Plain says right now the advisory is expected to stay in effect for three days, but the rain and snow in the forecast may help to clear those fine particulates out of the air.
