Halfway through Pet Smart Charities spray & neuter program

The BC SPCA is halfway through the Pet Smart Charities of Canada spray/neuter program.

In 2014, Alert Bay, Sointula, and Port Hardy received $47,000 to spray and neuter over 300 free run cats in the area.

Outreach Megan Munroe says especially on the island, cats can have multiple litters throughout the year because of the temperatures.

Munroe says they have just over $14,000 left in the grant, with only 98 surgeries remaining.
