Port Hardy RCMP searching for wanted man

Port Hardy RCMP is asking for public assistance to find a man wanted on multiple warrants.

RCMP say Martin Dubitski is wanted for assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon/ammunition contrary to order and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The most recent heavy police presence on the Gwaʼsala-ʼNakwaxdaʼxw Nations was because of an incident Dubitski is accused of being a part of, according to RCMP.

Dubitski is described as a 38-year-old Indigenous male, around six foot three, weighing 230 pounds with brown hair, eyes and several tattoos on both sides of his neck.

Police say Dubitski is known to travel between Port Hardy and Campbell River. They add you should not approach or confront him as he may be armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call Port Hardy RCMP at 250-949-6335, or call 911 if he is seen.
