Pat Corbett-Labatt elected as Port Hardy mayor

After a day of voters coming to the polls, Port Hardy has elected a new mayor.

Having a seat in the chair is mayor-elect Pat Corbett-Labatt. According to CivicInfoBC, Corbett-Labatt took the win over Athena Guy with over 75 per cent of the vote.

All incumbent councillors have been re-elected to the city.

A breakdown of the results follows:

Mayors:

Elected: Pat Corbett-Labatt, 672 votes (77.6%)

Athena Guy: 163 votes (18.8%)

Councillors:

Elected:

Brian Texmo: 734 votes (84.8%)

Janet Dorward: 646 votes (74.6%)

Dennis Dugas: 618 votes (71.4%)

John Tidbury: 540 votes (62.4)

Treena Smith: 532 votes (61.4)

Fred Robertson: 510 votes (58.9)
