More overnight closures are coming to Port Hardy Hospital’s emergency department starting tonight.

Island Health says the overnight closures will begin at 7 p.m. and reopen at 7 a.m. until Wednesday morning. The department will be open between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Island Health says all other inpatient services will continue as normal.

Anyone experiencing a medical emergency while the department is closed should call 911 or go to Port McNeill’s hospital, according to Island Health.
