Environment Canada issues advisory as east Island blanketed with fog

Environment Canada has issued a fog advisory for the east coast of Vancouver Island.

The weather agency says the heavy fog is expected to create near-zero visibility in areas between Campbell River and Duncan, and parts of Greater Victoria.

They add visibility might suddenly reduce to near zero while travelling. If you are driving, Environment Canada asks you to keep a safe following distance and turn on your lights.

Conditions are supposed to improve late this morning.
