There’s been a spike in theft of down riggers from boats in the area.
Down riggers are high value items, often left on owner’s boats while parked.
RCMP is reminding residents if you have these items, please insure they are secure to your boat when unattended.

Police note that any serial numbers, or initials on equipment also help with locating stolen goods.
