River Flows down Elk Falls

The Campbell River system has seen some significant water inflows from all the rain.
BC Hydro spokesperson Stephen Watson says the upper reservoir went up a metre in the past week, and right now it’s in the flood buffer zone.
He says BC Hydro need to spill that and control the reservoir by moving water down the spring.

Watson says the good news is now they have a snowpack that’s above average, which will be good for the summer.

If you want to see the increased flows, you can view it safely from the Elk Falls suspension bridge.
