Logging roads closed for bridge replacement, ongoing firefighting

Starting tomorrow (Monday) the San Josef Forest Service Road to Holberg will be closed for several days.

The road is being closed by Western Forest Products so a bridge at the 5.2 kilometre mark can be completely removed and replaced. The work is expected to take several days.

The company has set up a detour route, which will be marked with signs. The detour will add up to 30 minutes in travel time, so people are asked to plan their trips accordingly, and to respect the barricades in place.

Western has also closed the Zeballos Forest Service Road because of ongoing firefighting activities at the Anutz Lake fire.Local traffic and emergency teams are still permitted. The Anutz Lake and Atluck Lake rec sites are also closed until further notice.
