Concerns over the Comox Coast Guard Marine Traffic Services Centre

Union reps are expressing concerns over plans to move ahead with the closure of the Comox Coast Guard Marine Traffic Services Centre.
Unifor confirmed last week that the centre will close May 10.
Spokesperson Joie  Warnock says it’s disappointing that the government is moving ahead with the closure when a committee is still studying the issue.
Warnock says the government should pause this process until the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans finishes it’s work in May.
