2024 Dog tags now available in Port Hardy

You can buy a tag for your dog in Port Hardy, as dog tags are now available.

The district of Port Hardy says dog tags are recommended because not only is it an easier way for a lost dog to be reunited with their owner, but it also informs people that the dog does belong to someone.

While temporary tags are available for free for puppies, if you don’t buy the tag, you could get a $100 fine if the dog is impounded, according to the district.

They ask you to buy your tags at the Municipal Hall office at Columbia Street.
