It adds Dyck has been involved in many accomplishments over the years including:

Society Board director Kathy Martin adds Leslie “embraced” her roles with lots of passion and work ethic.

“Leslie built communities that focused on literacy, learning and healthy living,” said Martin. “She strived to build literacy skills from our youngest members to our seniors.

“Her vision reached many aspects of literacy with her creative programming, addressing a need for food literacy and security.”

Dyck is taking on the role of Community Developer with Island Health. She says she is proud of her work with the society and looks forward to new challenges ahead.

“I feel grateful for the opportunity and the trust that was put in me while leading this organization,” said Dyck.

“We have a wonderful team of staff and board members who are passionate about literacy and addressing community needs.”
