Tides of Change Celebrates first year anniversary

Tides of change is celebrating its first anniversary.

The joint economic initiative between the Namgis First Nation and the Village of Alert Bay had a successful year with many plans to move forward.

Namgis councilor Kelly Speck says the partnership began with a number of community meetings and conversations, and this year alone they had multiple projects on the go.

Speck says they put up five signs last year, and five more will be added later this spring to help people understand the rich history of the region.
