Presentation on upcoming financial plan set for Committee of the whole meeting

A presentation of the 2024-2028 financial plan is set for Tuesday’s committee of the whole meeting.

According to the District of Port Hardy, Director of Finance Noramay Isaac will present the plan in front of council, with the goal of adopting it for the next five years.

The average resident can expect increases for property tax, sales of services, transportation services, and water services as part of the plan. The final numbers will be approved by council.

This comes after council reviewed community feedback through the Citizen Budget eDemocracy survey last year, with the District adding that the planning process is almost complete.

The meeting is set for Tuesday at Municipal Hall council chambers, located on Columbia Street, starting at 5:45 pm.
