The Canadian Council of Professional Fish Harvesters is conduction a study.
Spokesperson Devlin Fernandes says the study will assess season employment options and opportunities for commercial fishermen, which includes seven case studies across the country.
Fernandes says the case studies on North Vancouver Island will be conducted in Port McNeil, Alert Bay, Sointula, and Port Hardy.
Fernandes says they have a number of questions that they want to ask, but they are hoping that people give them some strategies that might work.
