$11,000 in support of First Nation Education

The NIC foundation received $11,000 in support of First Nation education.
NIC Foundation’s Executive Director Susan Auchterlonie says the funding was raised at the annual Nanwakolas Council Corporate Challenge tournament to support the TL’axsam  Memorial Bursary.


She says the bursary will now grow from $375 to approximate $1,300 for a student every year.
Auchterlonie says it also ensures that financial circumstances won’t be a barrier to education for local students.
