Site prep begins for new washrooms, shower building by harbour

Work is now underway in the parking lot along the Port McNeill waterfront, to prepare for some long-awaited upgrades.  

Vike Construction recently won the contract to upgrade the lot, in preparation for a new building which will contain washrooms and showers.  

The work is expected to be completed by June 18. In the meantime, people should be patient and watch out for crews and construction zones while it continues.  

A call for bids to construct the new building will be issued at the end of the month.
