The federal Liberals are introducing new legislation to give equal rights to transgender people.
Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould announced the bill today and says Canadians will be free to identify and express their gender without fear of discrimination.
The legislation would ensure full legal and human rights protection for transgender people across the country.
