Vancouver Island locations featured in add-on for popular flight simulator

Flight sim fans can now practice sea plane landings in Nanaimo, transport patients between Island hospitals by helicopter, and enjoy realistic Island scenery in a new add-on.

Canadian creator Roman Design built the add-on pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator. It features Campbell River, Comox and Victoria hospitals and heliports, aerodromes and heliports in Tofino, Ucluelet and Nanaimo, and several private helipads. It even has car accident scenes along Highway 19, letting players practice simulated patient rescues by helicopter.

The add-on also has cruise ships and a Coast Guard vessel that can be landed on, as well as realistic scenery and models of Island landmarks.

It’s designed for the latest version of Microsoft Flight Simulator, visit Roman Design for more information about how to get  the add-on.
