Water Restrictions in Port Hardy are in full effect

Watering restrictions are in full effect until October 31.
Mayor Hank Bood says it’s important to follow the restrictions because Port Hardy can’t provide the basic services like fire fighting if the city doesn’t have a basic water supply to back that system up.
He says they are currently in stage one.

Bood says it is possible to run out of water, just as they did last year.
