Homicide investigation continues, Port Hardy RCMP 

Port Hardy RCMP say they’ve executed several search warrants on local residences and businesses in connection with a homicide investigation.  

Police responded to a call on Oct. 6 at around 4:30 p.m. after they received reports of an injured person who was believed to have been assaulted in the 8800 block of Park Drive. 

RCMP say they’ve been working closely with the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) on several warrants issued to find any evidence with the hopes of advancing the investigation. 

They add so far, they believe this is a targeted incident, and there is no further risk to the public or community. 

Anyone with information on the investigation is asked to contact Port Hardy RCMP, or the  VIIMCU at 250-380-6211.
