Storm wreaks havoc across region

The storm continues to cause disruptions to several services, including ferry cancellations and power outages across the region. 

BC Ferries says all sailings across the Strait of Georgia have been canceled until the early afternoon.  

They add many sailings out of Nanaimo are now booking after 5 p.m. 

B-C Hydro says the storm has caused several power outages across Vancouver Island, and the Sunshine Coast. 

According to hydro, the storm has knocked out power to over 3,000 people who are in the Comox Valley, and over 2,100 in Campbell River.  

And close to 3,500 people are affected in Powell River 

There is no forecasted time as to when power will be restored.
