Cape Scott trails to get a half-kilometre of new boardwalks

Trails in Cape Scott Provincial Park will soon get a major overhaul.

The provincial park service has posted an opportunity on the BC Bid website, looking for someone to build half a kilometre of new boardwalks connecting the San Josef junction with Eric Lake, one of the most popular early sections of the trail to the Cape.

The successful bidder will need to install 15 new boardwalks, and replace three existing boardwalks. They may also have future opportunities to make additional trail improvements on the Cape Scott and North Coast trails.

Successful bidders should have experience in dealing with projects in harsh, remote areas, says the posting.

Bidding is open until the end of this month, visit the bid listing for details.
