One dead after traffic collision on highway near Woss

One man is dead after two pick-up trucks collided last night on Highway 19 south of Woss.

Police, fire, and emergency services were called to the scene around 6:30 pm Friday evening. The collision happened where Nimpkish Road meets the highway, near Mount Cain.

The driver of one vehicle was confirmed dead at the scene. Two people in the second vehicle were taken to hospital by air ambulance in serious condition.

Drive BC shows the highway was closed in both directions, and re-opened just after 2 am this morning.

Police say road conditions were not a factor, and the crash is under investigation.
