Island Health investigating privacy breach

Island Health has uncovered another privacy breach, where an employee viewed the records of 34 individuals who received services from Island Health.

Island Health President and CEO Doctor Brendan Carr says he is deeply saddened and embarrassed, as this is the second privacy breach in as many months.

Carr says the person found responsible for the breach is no longer an employee of Island Health.

Island Health is in the process of notifying all individuals impacted…all of whom are from Vancouver Island.
