Find out what’s underground before you dig

BC One Call is warning residents about the importance of taking all necessary precautions before digging in your yard.

Executive Director with One Call, Gary Metz, says it’s very important to know what’s underground before you start excavating. He says the first step in finding that out is to call BC One Call.

Metz says if you do cut a gas line or any electrical lines, the first thing you should do is get away from the area and call 911. He says cutting a gas line can lead to serious injury and damage to the property.
