Kwak’wala language course offered again this fall at NIC

The second Kwak’wala  language course will be offered this fall at North Island College.
Instructor Sara Child says they had 31 students enrolled in the first class with fluent speakers helping out each week.
She says what they realized through the language revitalization process is the impact the removal of the language had on the community.


Child says this course will give children, adults, and families the opportunity to be able to bring the language back into their homes.
