Forest Practices Board examining Husby Forest Products in Haida Gwaii

The Forest Practices Board will be examining the forestry activities of Husby Forest Products in Haida Gwaii.

Chair of the Forest Practice Board Tim Ryan says the board will be looking  into how their licenses are, how they are preparing their plans, how their building their roads, and bridges, as well as the reforestation obligations.
He says they do about a dozen audits on a random basis across the provinces every year, and Haida Gwaii is set for the end of August.

 


The Forest Practices Board will report its findings and recommendations directly to the public and government.
