A seal pup is in safe hands after being rescued by the Powell River RCMP.
Sergeant Kevin Day says the 1 to 2-month old pup was found on Palm Beach near Powell River.
He notes that Vancouver Aquarium staff alerted the police after numerous calls and photos were sent to their tip-line.
Day says the seal pup was transferred to the Vancouver Aquarium Rescue Society, where it will take part in their rehabilitation program.
