By Elections begin

Nominations are now open for the by election for Port Hardy District Council.
Director of Corporate Services Heather Nelson-Smith says the by election is being held to replace Councillor Hemphill, who is stepping down as of the end of September.
She says there are certain criteria you have to meet in order to run.
The by election is being held on October 22nd, along with the referendum for the new multiplex.
