As the fall weather begins to arrive and wood stoves get sparked up for the season, the province is reminding people to follow the rules if you gather your own wood.

She says it’s important to make sure you have a permit so the ecosystems can be properly managed.
Upward says along with having a permit, it’s important to make sure you are on crown land, not private property.
