The Port Hardy Fire Rescue is in need of new volunteer firefighters to join its team.
Deputy Fire Chief Brent Borg says the fire department isn’t the only ones having difficulty with the lack of volunteers.
Borg says the volunteer fire crew practice Thursday nights and anyone 19 and older is welcome to come out.
The department will also be holding an open house in mid-October as part of Fire Prevention Week.
