WorkSafeBC touring the region

WorkSafeBC is touring the region, raising awareness of the importance of workplace safety.

Nick Perry was injured in a workplace accident when he was 19, leaving him an incomplete paraplegic.

He says it’s important that both young workers and employers know their rights and responsibilities in terms of safe work.

According to WorkSafeBC, 6900 young workers were injured on the job in British Columbia last year and young males are injured at a higher rate than the provincial average.
