Drive safe during the Thanksgiving weekend

ICBC is reminding drivers to be prepared if you’re planning on driving this Thanksgiving long weekend.

Spokesperson Caroline Robinson says being prepared consist of making sure your vehicle is ready for the trip ahead.

Robinson says it’s also important to know your route ahead of time and check road conditions. She adds last year during this long weekend, 80 people were injured with around 280 accidents on Vancouver Island alone, and that’s a statistic they don’t want repeated.
