The North Island school district’s transportation services will see some new improvements.
With help from the province’s Student Transportation Fund, the North Island will receive over $118,000.
Education Minister Mike Bernier announced that School District 85 will use the new funding to install GPS devices on schools buses to track student rider levels, provide more bus transportation to students for curricular and additional activities, as well as update routes to reduce ride times.
School District 85 will then be required to report back on the outcomes and benefits they achieve.
