The Vancouver Island North Film Commission is developing a new tool to help promote the region and draw film productions.
The commission is partnering with three groups to fund a new website for the agency. Film Commissioner Joan Miller says they’ve been looking to upgrade their website for about 8 years.
Miller says having the new digital tools will enable the team to better market the region, especially internationally, and also opens the door for film-induced tourism opportunities with maps of the projects that have filmed in the region.
