North Island College is receiving funding to increase seats for in-demand trades programs.
Spokesperson Christiana Wiens says the $2.7 million will be used to add seats to programs that begin in January. Wiens says the additional funding lets them add new sections to their trades programs.
Wiens says the programs are in demand by both students and employers in the region and they know they will fill quickly.
