BC Hydro crews have located the fault that has knocked out power to the North Island.
7,000 customers have been without power since around 6 am Monday morning after a fault on the main transmission line.
Spokesperson Ted Olynyk says it took crews some time to find the fault.
Olynyk says crews are trying to have power restored as soon as possible.
