RCMP Preaching Bike Safety and Security

RCMP are reminding bicycle owners to make sure their bikes are secured when not in use.

Constable Rob Gardner says bike theft is a crime of opportunity.

“Criminals are pretty lazy. So, if your bike is laying there and they don’t want to walk anymore, they’re just going to grab it and go.”

Gardner says if your bike is stolen, get the serial number and have a good description of it so police can track it down.
