Great Canadian Giving Challenge underway

CanadaHelps is launching a campaign to encourage people to keep non-profits in mind over the summer months.

The non-profit organization provides online donation services for non-profits throughout the country, including here in BC.

Vice President of Community Engagement, Paul Nazerath says summer is always a challenging time for charities as donations drop off.

The challenge encourages Canadians to donate to their charities of choice and for every dollar donated, the charity is nominated for a chance to win $10,000.

Nazerath notes last year 1,400 charities in BC received donations as part of the challenge.

The Great Canadian Giving Challenge runs until the end of June.
