BC Hydro is shutting down a potential scam.
The company says some customers have complained about receiving texts, which say they are owed a refund and then asked for their banking information.
If you receive a text from BC Hydro, disregard the message. Hydro says it does not text its customers about payments or refunds and will not ask for banking information by that method.
