Strong winds expected for Port Hardy tonight

Keep an eye out for strong winds, as a wind warning is in effect for Port Hardy.

Environment and Climate Change Canada says the warning comes because of a pacific frontal system off the B.C. coast.

They say that winds will gust up to 110 km/h tonight and Thursday night in Port Hardy.

Along with possible injury or damage from loose objects, high winds may also cause power outages and tree branches to fall.

They ask you to continue monitoring alerts and forecasts while the warning is in effect.
