Port Hardy fire rescue was called out to a blaze in the Bear Cove area.
Crews arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and flame coming from a fiberglass boat that was parked on the property in storage for the winter.
Fire crews were able to knock down the blaze, but the boat sustained significant damage – two nearby boats were also damaged by the heat.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
