According to an alert from Environment Canada, gale force winds are expected to come to the area. The winds measure at 34 to 47 knots (63 to 87 km/h).

Winds will increase 15 to 25 knots (28 to 46 km/h) overnight, and reach 35 knots (65 km/h) by Saturday afternoon.

Those winds could have an impact on an eight-hectare human caused wildfire in Sayward.
