BC Ferries has completed the ownership transfer for the Baynes Sound Connector cable ferry.
VP of Engineering, Mark Wilson says the vessel has met all expectations during its sea trials.
Wilson says so far, the trials have been very successful.
He says the next step is training crews that will be working with the Baynes Sound Connector.
BC Ferries says the cable ferry is expected to be fully operational in February 2016. Passengers will continue to be served by the Quinitsa until the Baynes Sound Connector goes into service.
