The Whe-la-la-U Area Council in Alert Bay is receiving funding for anti-domestic violence programs.
Comox Valley MLA Don McRae says it’s one of seven Aboriginal organizations and communities receiving funding to support culture-based anti-domestic violence programs.
The Whe-la-la-U is receiving 70-thousand dollars for its program.
